Lenin memorial

Belarus once was part of the Soviet Union, and there are still reminders of that period all over teh country. Memorial statues of Lenin stand in front of most government buildings, many of which are topped with large medallions picturing the Soviet Union’s hammer and sickle, as well as the inscription “CCCP.” Someone has placed a bouquet of flowers next to this memorial to Lenin that stands in front of the Kostsyukovichy government building.
