19th Century military outpost the site of NCIS New Orleans episode
Purchase this beautiful Fort Macomb photography as part of your military photography collection or as a gift to someone who is a military geek. The old, decaying fort just outside of New Orleans is closed to the public, but CBS filmed an episode of NCIS: New Orleans at the site.
Fort Macomb was built in the 19th century after the War of 1812 as part of a protective system of outposts designed to prevent naval attacks of the Big Easy.
Prints of Fort Macomb, which is now owned by the state of Louisiana, and is badly decayed, are available below.
You can see more photography from Fort Macomb and its sister site, Fort Pike, in my military photography gallery.
